These are just my style. I’m especially fond of the original style M-4 with a2 sights. I have one just like it and they are so good. |

Del-Ton upper on PSA lower. The rubber butt pad is there because a petite lady friend wanted to shoot it and was a little afraid of the recoil.
Now she has a couple of AR's of her own, including a Colt 6920 (I'm so proud of her). ![]() ![]() |

Although I just ordered an Impact Weapons scout light mount for the handguard. But I'm going to leave it like that for the foreseeable future! |

That wood furniture is hot. How do you like it over the normal A1/A2 stuff?

The handguards don't have any ventilation, either, so it's not something you're going to want to do a ton of mag dumps with. |

I'm still playing with it, even with loctite it will still twist around a little |

Everything looks good gentleman.
I'm wondering tho, and maybe it's just me, does it seem that the detachable carry handle riffles just look... Off... compared to an A1/A2? |

Okay, this seems to be the place to ask this question. What would you folks think of a mount that replaces the A2/A4 rear sight that allows you to mount one of those tiny pistol red dots in it's place?

That actually sounds cool AF, if that's what you're talking about.
If it's just replacing the sight assembly for a pic rail that's probably more trouble than it's worth. You'll lose iron sights capability when you could just run a rail on the handle and keep both. But again, milling out that area for RDS - especially one with a rear sight built in or attachable like Leupold's - that would be belle of the ball. |

View Quote I like the idea, but this is available and the dot being higher up is more comfortable imo. Now i think there should be more direct mount options for specific red dots yes. ![]() |

Especially in terms of modifying handguards to make them more functional. Case in point: covers over quadrails. |

No I still need to, though. I also need to send this barrel in for a chop and P/W. It's 14.5" right now so it won't get chopped much, but anything helps when the AEM5 is long as fuck
