This is my first attempt at a build and I have everything put together. It fires fine but it does not load the next round. It will load the first round but then after that shot it will not load the next from the mag, instead it just nicks the top then makes a scrape along the casing. Is is the BCG not functioning right like how it twists is it possible it is not twisting to load the next correctly? I have since re-oiled it (bolt carrier group )a bunch and still same deal. Any help would be great was looking forward to shooting it this weekend then this happened. -note I have only tried to fire and load 3 seperate times, fired fine all 3 times but failed loading next round on all and with the same gouge into the casing of the next round. |
| I had the same problem with my first built. THE TOLERANCE ON THE AR IS EXTREMELY TIGHT, esp. brand new. I was told that fire a few break it down clean good fire a few more then break down and clean. Then do this one more time. It worked for me. maybe someone with more builds can tell more. |

Yeah I have tried 2 mags on it one that was brand new and then one of my older ones, both were pmags. I am going to try the cleaning and breaking it in as above. First I guess I might try changing the bolt carrier group from my other AR to see if that is it. I know it functions then go from there if it still fails. I will try and take a pic of the scrape it puts on the next round instead of loading it. If it might help determine the problem. |
