| Is there a difference in diameter and length in commercial vs mil spec springs? and is the buffer suppossed to sit flush on the spring or sit on top of it? the reason i ask is that i ordered a magpul ctr kit and it came with spring, buffer, tube and end plate but the spring is slightly longer and slightly wider than my stock one. the original buffer tube was commericial size. |
| the springs should all be the same size. The only difference between Comm and Mil Spec tubes in the thickness of the wall, the way the threads are cut, and the outside length of the tubes. The internal specs are the same.On my guns the buffer sits on top of the spring. |
