How do I tell what size buffer spring I need.  Im building the rifle now and will be using purchasing a midlength upper.  Does this mean I need a midlength, buffer spring, rifle, or carbine buffer spring?  Since I'm new to rifle I'm not sure what the buffer spring does, so i cant really answer my own question.

Your bufferspring is determined by the type of stock/buffertube used on your weapon.
Carbine or Rifle are the 2 lengths.
