I am looking at getting a midlength 14.5" upper from Bravo Company and i would like to know any thoughts about the quality, of the parts, specifically the barrel, and the fit an finish. I have a buddy who got an upper from them about a year ago and when it had arrived the rail that he had ordered on it was canted to one side and the treads on the barrel nut attaching the rail were torn up when they were attaching it and they just tried to loctite it on. He then sent a picture of the problem to BCM and they said there was nothing that they could do about it, and this was brand new out of the box.
Now this is the only story i have encountered with this problem, in fact the only story ive heard where there was a problem, i would like some input about any problems you may have encountered. And as mentioned before, also about quality and life span of the barrel.
As of now i am looking at a upper with either the BCM KMR, DD RIS 2, or no rail at all.

Thank you

I''m sorry brother, but I have a VERY hard time believing this story. The guys at BCM go out of their way to put out top notch product, and I can say with confidence that they would not handle a situation like the one you described above.

I'm calling on your friend and his story!

Seems like a while back someone started a rant about BCM and crooked FF tubes.
I have not heard of very many problems involving BCM here and every manufacturer has some problems.
If this guy is your buddy and you believe him then go somewhere else or not.
BCM is not the only good supplier out there.

That was due to a very few of the uppers themselves being slightly out of spec, which they acknowledged and corrected.

I have one of the uppers that the rail is cocked, I managed to get it straight by playing with it some and figured it was just due to the rail being mounted on the stock barrel nut.

Makes me wonder if it is really messed up.

I have two uppers from them,  quality is good and accuracy is great.

My friend ordered a BCM upper from g&r and the pin holes were enlarged and look like someone pounded a huge drill bit through them.  He sent it back to g&r and had a new one within a week and it's been solid
