Can anyone please tell me where does the Crane O-ring go on the bolt?

The Crane o-ring gets slipped over the extractor spring.

Any height on the spring

Slip it down over the spring till it sits flush against the extractor. If it slips up a little that’s ok, because when you install the extractor onto the bolt it will force the o-ring down.

It will be a noticeably harder to compress the extractor if you get the full extractor upgrade (heavy spring, black insert, and O-ring or D-Fender).  With the O-ring it might be just alittle harder to get the pin back through, but that's OK.  You're not screwing anything up, just use a little extra muscle.
Is that a blue insert I see QUIB?

Yep, I actually do not use that extractor assy anymore due to it being worn out. It was the only pic of the o-ring set up I had ready to post, so I used it.

How do you like the O-ring?
I've got the Wolff springs, black inserts, and some D-Fenders that I got as swag about ten years ago when they appeared in Tactical Shooter.  Somebody was handing them out at a class IIRC and I got about 5 of them.  I never installed them or even tried them until recently.  I've put them in all of my rifles (14.5, 16, and 20) and the package works great.  Strong, positive extraction and they clear the AO real fast.
I'm going to order some of the O-rings from BCM next time I order from him.

I’ve had no issues since installing the o-rings. I upgraded 3 rifles with the BCM kits and all function fine. Of course I never had issues with out the kits installed but thought,..... “What the heck, the added insurance can’t hurt now can it?”
