You stand to gain / lose a LOT through velocity with 55 grain fmj. Fragmentation range and % (the extent of the fragmentation) is mainly effected by velocity. You want more of it to maximize both. Same with penetration through steel barriers and armor. Not to mention flatter shooting, better for long distance. That's like saying youbliterally gain / lose nothing with a longer or shorter barrel. Literally gain nothing? |
