I recently purchased a new Aimpoint Pro from Optics Planet. The sight was delivered last week and I threw it on my Windham Weaponry AR-15.
Today I went to the range to zero the sight. And that's when I experienced some problems. I threw some paper targets up at 25 yards. When I shot I found that I wasn't even hitting paper. When I decided to go for the 100 yard steel targets, my rounds were impacting a good two feet low and nearly a foot to the left. The sight required almost a full revolution to get up on the steel, and nearly as much to push the round to the right. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? The sight is now zeroed. I put another two mags downrange and it is holding that zero. Still, I'm trying to figure out why the sight needed so much adjustment. |
