I recd email from Aero saying they have sale on Stag 10. Is this their stuff? Do their parts kits work with it? Add; is it .308? |

I won a Stag-10 Marksman in 6.5CM back when Brownells did their virtual shot show. Neat gun. From Stag's description of the upper it looks like the only thing unique is the fit between the upper and lower (proprietary parts). " The Stag 10 Stripped Upper Receiver includes a picatinny rail on the top with a Tang Height of .210 Compatibility: The Stag 10 Stripped Upper Receiver will work with our Stag 10 Upper Receiver Parts Kit or any DPMS upper parts kit. Our upper receiver has the same barrel nut threads as DPMS, accepts DPMS barrels, accepts Stag, Armalite and DPMS BCGS and Charging Handles. It also accepts standard AR Forward Assists. Once matched with our custom Stag Lower, Takedown Pin, Pivot Pin and Takedown Pin Detent, this assembly can be built using standard DPMS components. " |

Some might not be old enough to remember or know but that was their start, they made Armalite spec receivers before going the DPMS route. I wouldn't hesitate to get the Stag.... |

Call Aero, but I would think the LPK for the M5 would work. The Stag rail won't work on the M5 because of the rear area on the rail. Now I’ve waited to long and the colors of the Stag10 that I wanted are sold out. Now only black/FDE. It’s the rails. I want a stag10 rail. The fit of those to the receiver has my attention. I need to be able to pick them out in the safe. I already have black/FDE AR10’s. I want the burnt bronze. And now there’s only 16” and I want 13.5. I use to not like the gb extending beyond the rail. Since I built one beyond rail, I like that after all. |
