I am looking for pictures of AWB era (‘94-‘04) DPMS AR15 magazines. Specifically pictures of the restriction stamps and the floorplate stamp. Have worn out my Google button trying to find some online and struck out everywhere. I have Preban DPMS mags for my pre 94 Carbine and Rifle. Finishing up a post 94 carbine and want the correct GOVT/LE restricted mags for it. It was an Ohio PD duty carbine. To be honest I do not know for sure if DPMS had branded mags during the AWB. Thanks in advance for anyone who is able to shine some light in the dark for me. |

"If" DPMS sold AWB marked mags, they were probably made by someone else. Labelle ( D&H currently ) , Okay Industries, and Center Industries come to mind. "If" memory serves me... the green follower was the more advanced design available at the time . 2007 was the first Magpul followers ( ? ) |

My Preban DPMS (gray & black Teflon)were made by Labelle. Labelle magazine manufacturing was divested to General Stamping in 1993. My AWB General Stamping mags are CAGE and date stamped on the body (04TQ4 4-98). The General Stamping mags have the restriction markings stamped in the floorplate. Attached File General Stamping was transitioned to D&H in 1997. I have seen post ban gray aluminum DPMS mags dated 11-12 on the body. Did not see a CAGE code. Attached File My post ban D&H mags are CAGE coded on the floorplate and dated on the mag body. Current DPMS mags are black Teflon, no date, CAGE coded for D&H ( 04TQ4) |

| For what it’s worth, I recall after the ban sunset (post-2004), DPMS magazines were actually NHMTG, the commercial brand name for Okay Industries. They came in a DPMS bag but had all the standard NHMTG markings. It was a big topic of discussion either here or on the other site when someone discovered DPMS was selling 10-packs of those NHMTG mags under their name. That could indicate that their ban era mags were also made by someone else. |

I haven’t found a restricted DPMS mag yet but I did get a restricted D&H Industries magazine. It fits in between the General Stamping mags and the unrestricted D&H mags in my collection. The floorplate matches the details from the earlier General Stamping and DPMS(Labelle) mags. Attached File |
