| Can someone please explain to me what the "P" mode is and how you toggle through the different pulse options. Thanks. |

Might want to go to lightfighter.net or somewhere that the average user has experience with these. Our unelected nannies say us lowly civvies (you know, the real rulers of this country) can't have these. Ergo, you won't get a lot of help here.
Beyond that, check the manual? |

From the AN/PEQ-15 ATPIAL Quick Reference Guide... I'll try to get it scanned and posted here soon.
Pulse Mode: The IR illuminator may be programmed to operate in pulse mode as follows: 1. With the mode selector turned to P (PROGRAM) position, hold down the activation button. 2 Turn the mode selector to the desired pulse rate as shown in the table below. The rate will display on the LED status indicator (LED will blink same number of times as the pulse rate). 3. Release activation button and pulse rate will be programmed. The set pulse rate will remain until programmed differently. Pulse Rate–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– IR Mode Selector Position Program–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-P Continuous (no pulse)––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-AL 1 pulse per second–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-– DL 2 pulses per second–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-AH* 4 pulses per second–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-IH* 8 pulses per second–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-DH* *Blue safety screw must be removed to program these pulse rates. ETA: If you do it right, the LED indicator should flash amber 3 times |

No problem!
The LED indicator is very small, almost pinhole sized, and will be in one of two locations. Either on the back, above the little molded in tiedown loop, or on the top, recessed under the mode selector knob, and will be visible once you turn the selector to a setting other than OFF. Shoot me a PM with your email and I'll send you a PDF scan of the Quick Reference Guide. |
