Today was the first time I've had the chance to zero an AR15 with an ACOG on it. I only had a 25yd indoor range available to me, plus it's to freaking hot to be outside. Anyway I usually just zero to a point that is about .75 inches below POA, and then adjust when I get to a longer range. Looking through the ACOG, it looked like the rounds were impacting the target at about the 300yd line in the scope. Would it just be easier when getting a 25yd zero to just use either the 200 or 300yd line? Anyone else want to comment? ETA: Its a TA01NSN and a 16 inch barrel. |
Eye relief seems to be a non issue, as the reticle and sight picture can be seen from a fairly wide range of distances. Yes you can easily shoot with both eyes open. |
