Having a problem with my brand new ACOG TAO1.  When trying to zero the sight, the reticle will not move while using the internal adjustment screws.  Has anyone heard of anything like this happening before?

I bought one used and had this problem when I went to boresight it to my weapon. Fiddled with it for about an hour then gave up. Checked with a friend who had bought a factory new one and after looking through the manual (mine didn't come with one) it became somewhat clear.  The fatctory warns of overturning the adjustment screws at the risk of popping the reticule off.  This appeared to be what happened. I contacted Trijicon and got them to check it out. It took about 6 weeks for them to repair it but luckily it was still under warranty. Everything works like it's supposed to now and I have switched it between a couple of weapons and adjusted the sight each time without incident. Just gotta be careful not to go overboard.

I had the same problem with a brand-new TA-31

Had to send it back in...they fixed it and sent it back, no problems.

I guess it's great that Trijicon has such great customer service, I just wish they had a better Quality Control department.

You have to wonder, when you buy a $1000 scope, and the adjustments don't work on it.

If Tasco can do it for a $79 scope (features, durability and reputation notwithstanding) why can't Trijicon do it for $1000?

Call them up, send it in, and they'll fix it.  If you want to be a real hardball...you might try to argue with them that you spent money for a "new" scope...not a "repaired" scope.  Otherwise that's exactly what you'll get.  Of course, my "repaired" TA-31 works just fine so...

i finally got ahold of Trijicon customer support this morning.  for some odd reason, they have saturday and sundays off.  slackers.  anyways, they told me to send it back to them, and they will fix it, and send it back to me.  they said 3 weeks turnaround, but who knows.  thanks for the help guys, y'all rock.
