Things That Go Bump In The Night Inspection Gun    Can is a semi-custom "telescoping" (16" barrel under there) one, made by Finnish gunsmith's Take-Paja. Anodized aluminium, can be dismantled for cleaning and maintenance if necessary. Red dot is a Belorussian Kvant PK-23. Otherwise pretty standard stuf, no point listing.  8.5" SBR, Eotech 552 Rev. F, Magpul M93B stock, Oly FIRSH rails, MIAD grip, RRA NM 2 stage trigger, magblock, 32 round sten mags can be used. Oh, and for those of you who don't think an 8.5" barrel can be accurate, here is my target, at 100 yards, using WallyWorld Winchester ammo.

As some of us have come to learn, a shorter bbl is not inherently less accurate than a longer. As a matter of fact, a shorter bbl is typically more accurate than a longer one. But I digress and do not want to get this thread OT. |

Well, I got bored, so I reached into the parts closet and voila! Garrison Mfg 9mm upper Hahn blocks modded to take slotted Sten mags Trijicon Reflex II GG&G BUIS Stag lower (registered as a pistol here in PA) The 9mm parts came with one of the M16's I bought, and since I only have two M16 lowers and six M16 uppers I thought I'd give the short 9mm a home for when it's not on a 16. |

Man I love your 9mm ARs. I talked to "the man" over at LRM and he's going to do the conversion on a Olympic Arms Glock mag 9mm AR. I'm just waiting to get one of my other ARs sold to fund the conversion. I can buy the Oly/Glock at any time, but I want to have it shipped directly to him to work on to avoid paying two transfer fees. I can't wait!! |

My 9mm AR15 PISTOL is FINALLY finished... The only glitch, is the VM-HyTech mag block. It only accepts certain mags. What's a good way "open up" the mag well, so ALL UZI mags will fit? |

SimplyDynamic - awesome shorty. What length is your barrel? Looks like you got a three lug there since you have an MP5 flash hider on there. Also, what length rail is that (carbine or midlentgh)? You have exactly what I am trying to build, but on a pistol lower. |

Both are RRA conversions. The one on the right is one I recently assembled for my father. His uses the VMHytech mag adapter that lets him use unmodified uzi mags. I got it at a local shop in Dundee Illinois. You could also try - Veriforce Tactical I've never purchased anything from them, but they have an interesting selection. SOG Armory They have a good selection as well, and my friends say the customer service is OK. |

From what I've read, there have been different "Generations" (maybe 3?) of the mags. The early ones were prone to difficulty, the later ones have had better success. I haven't tried them yet, I prefer the metal mags. |

i have a factory le6450 which looks like a one piece mag. also noticed that it has a two piece bolt catch assy too. one piece that sits in the mag block and links to the std. bolt catch anyone have similar or know if they will work? well think im going to order one from cdnn to see. is the cdnn mags current production? |

I am sorry for the repeat. I posted this as a separate topic but then remembered about this picture thread... I got around to taking a few pics of my stuff and my 9mm AR was close by. The lower is Olympic pre-ban (makes a difference in CT), with RRA upper. I have a 9mm hammer, 9mm buffer, RRA mag block with set screws and 5 modified Uzi mags. The muzzle was plain, and will stay that way for now since I recently submitted a form to "make" an SBR. I am still deciding whether to make it 10.5 or 11.5 but it will have a standard thread with an A1 type RRA hider for $11. So, here are a couple of pics. I know it looks like everyone else's setup but this one is MINE! Comments and questions are welcome... P.S. I want to get some opinions about the handguards: M4 fatties or CAR that it has now? Keep in mind it will be cut shorter some day soon...   |

 Here is my 9mm carbine. It has become my favorite AR out of the lot. It is a blast to shoot, very accurate and relaibale. I've put 800 rounds through it that vary anywhere from round nose, flat point, hollow point, 115 grain, 124 grain, and 147 grain. Not a single malfunction yet using Colt mags. I have 4 promags coming tomorrow so I will test them out on Friday. I'm gonna attach the GAT trigger on Friday and see how it does at full auto rates of fire. Anyway, after shooting this for a bit, I'd recommend an AR 9mm platform styled in the colt system. The specs for this gun are: 9mm RRA upper cut down to 10.5" Hahn Precision dedicated mag block SBR registered Bushmaster lower 9mm RRA buffer 9mm RRA hammer G-27 Grip Arms #40L BUIS EOTech 511 revision F Colt 32 round 9mm magazines |
