Does anybody make a dedicated 22 upper, with 16 barrel with the front site base at the midlength location rather than at the carbine location?

Thanks!

I would think the lack of a gas system/tube would allow you to move the FSB to where ever you wanted it.

Could be wrong.

That would be my answer.  If it's a dedicated 22 it doesn't need a gas system.  Put the front sight anyplace you want it.  Shouldn't be any problem doing a midlength dedicated 22.

Agreed..........if you go with the Spikes set up you can move the FSB wherever you want since its mounted with set screws.  Mine s currently set up up with a Carbine Length DD Omega Rail and no FSB or gas block, however I'd like to replace it with a Midlength Omega when I get the funds.

You could always get a FSB and a barrel that never had one pinned, and have ADCO mount and pin it in the midlength position.

As KELBEAST and others have indicated, there is no gas system, so there is no problem with moving the FSB around on a dedicated 22LR upper.

HOWEVER, you must remember that a 16" barreled 22LR upper has a shorter OAL than a 16" barreled 5.56mm upper, due to the fact that the barrel extends back into the upper receiver approximately 1.25" . . . so if you moved the FSB to "midlength" position, you'd have to choose between having the same distance from FSB-to-muzzle as a middy or FSB-to-upper as a middy . . . you can't have it both ways (unless you have a custom 17.25" barreled 22LR upper).
