| I'm looking for a 16" mid-length barrel for <$170ish. Lighter profile would be a positive. All I've come across is the fluted DSA barrels for $160, but the fluting doesn't seem to remove too much weight. Does anyone know of a better/different option in stock somewhere now for a similar price? Or know if the fluting saves a significant amount of weight and/or if DSA barrels are solid? Thanks! |

Read about Faxon Barrels but their nitride middy only comes in 14.5" and the 16" is only carbine. Time to expand their line. Thanks for any suggestions |

Specifically, check out Midway's line of Voodoo. Cheaper than Voodoo...

16" barrel 1x8" or 1x9 twist (not 1x7) 0.75" gas block seat Lightweight profile Midlength gas chrome lined or otherwise treated Under $200 Too much to ask? Seems like everyone is doing a real fast 1 in 7" twist now, but that isn't ideal for 55 grain bullets. |

Not under 200... But the only 1-8's Chrome I have seen are these:

Just came in today. Last time I saw the 7.5 in stock was in October.

If you get one... I highly recommend getting their low profile gas block. They are machined perfectly to fit their match barrels as stated on their website. I own a 7.5 match... love it.. its a tad heavy. |
