| Mike stated in other PSA_NDS acquisition thread that they will have to start out with readily available parts on the market. Just a wild guess... Giving the continuing business arrangement to supply Borewells their forging, I wouldn't be surprise H&R goes with Brownell's furniture (I know there are some negative reviews out there) to ramp up initial production. Brownell's got the full house retro parts. Either that or H&R need to find contractor(s) that can tooling new molds or still have original molds. |

I would assume that the barrels will be 12.5ish so a pinned moderator will get it out to 16”. If so, will the XM177E2 moderator be attached/pinned in such a way that it can be removed so the the barrel can be adjusted to its correct length if we want to SBR the lowers? Or can correct length XM177 and XM177E2 uppers and retro lowers be purchased separately so we can SBR them and then purchase the correct uppers. Thanks |
| Yep, my CETME LC's come with an pin/welded extension to bring them to 16" and also come with the correct FH to swap on if you F1 it and drill out the weld (which is conspicuous so as to make it simpler). Making an XM obviously pinned/welded serves two purposes; if there was ever a question about legality it's obvious it's done properly and then of course giving you an easier path to remove with a properly registered lower |

I for one am excited to see what offerings H&R provides. It's good to see the name revived and in business. Kind of a wild tangent considering this forum but...are there any plans down the road to offer H&R M14 receivers? A more niche market I know but it sure would be neat to have a H&R parts kit built on a H&R marked receiver! |

And all the parts I’m ordering are parkerized with Manganese Phosphate and anodized gray. The Brownells port doors come with a black oxide finish, but they’re the only game in town. It will easily take until summer before we have things rolling. So many elements need to come together. |
