What type of bipod? If it's a Harris that uses a stud to mount to, then I would suggest drilling a 3/16" hold for the stud and using a nut inside the tube. This is a MUCH stronger way to do it than simply tapping the handguard tube for the stud. I do them one step better... I install a knurled insert through the handguard from inside. It pulls into a hole that I drill just for the insert, but with the shoulder on it, it will never pull through the handguard like a stud will if you just thread the handguard tube iteslf.

Information like that is how I make my living. Would you call a pharmaceutical company and ask them for their recipes? I charge $15 to install such an insert in your handguard tube. If you need that done, I'll be happy to do it for you. |
