| How incredible would it be if FN released a FN249 with a factory FRT. Or Geissele released a FRT equipped AR15. Or HK released a FRT equipped MP5 and MP5SD. This seems like a incredible opportunity for gun makers. What's the hold up? Why aren't top gun makers jumping on this opportunity? |

Smaller AR makers might do so as a differentiator in a slow market. Big manufacturers, even innovation leaders like SIG or PSA, will likely hold off until the Rare Breed patent litigation plays out. If/when a manufacturer does take the leap, it’s more likely to be with an established platform in partnership with an established FRT. Partnering with Rare Breed would be lowest risk legally, but might incur the ire of buyers in the know. I would expect more manufacturers to offer guns with auto selector position markings for use with user-installed FRTs. If I was a betting man, my money would be on a company like Atlantic Firearms selling MP5 clones bundled with a brace and Rare Breed FRT, purchased unassembled but as a single SKU at a good price. I’d doubt this would happen until Rare Breed has saturated the market and is sitting on inventory they want to move. |

Got email from Atrius this week. They announced a partnership with "GQ Arms" to offer FRT ready and FRT equipped ARs. No, never heard of'm before, but this can grow quickly. I think we'll need some ABC IP court decisions and another round with DOJ that actually sets a favorable precedent before any profitable manufacturer enters into a formal agreement. Until such time, we'll see startup level investors/assemblers jumping into and out of the market. |

It'll happen,but it'll also take time. I'd expect Atlantic or PSA to start offering them first. Before that, though, I'd expect the big name trigger or accessory companies to buy out an FRT design and produce them more wide spread. Imagine a Geissele FRT package, with an ARC Fire like selector. Or a Radian version of the MARC. Right now we're in the Wild West era of FRTs, with tons of new comers trying out ideas and seeing what works. Once things stabilize, and the Rare Breed litigation calms down, I'd expect less experimentation and more consolidation with the big names stepping in, and only after that would FRT equipped factory guns to start coming out as anything more than novelty items. |

He got caught dealing drugs and had an AR pistol (with an installed Super Safety) in his car. He was charged with possession of a machine gun. There are lots of examples of people getting busted in ban states as well. |
