I’ve noticed a lot of posts where y’all are buying XP return springs for various reasons. I know Wolff makes a quality product and I love their S&W spring kits. Next time you need a replacement recoil spring, just get a USGI M14 spring for 1/3 the cost, like this. I built my first AK around ‘98 and have been replacing worn out springs with cheap, surplus M14 springs since around ‘02 when I was needing a replacement and figured a new M14 spring was really close dimensionally. Since I have an M1A and keep spares…. They’re cheap enough that I keep them on hand and I have never had a problem with them in any pistol, rifle or MG in which I’ve replaced them. Give one a try next time you order some parts. If you have any sources that are lower cost, post a link! |
