[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Single Stack to Double stack?

Bought a single stack Romanian WASR-10 rifle. I did not have the extra money for the double stack. However, I was told it IS possible to convert.

How can I do this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

all you have to do is open up the magazine opening to fit the wider high capacity magazines and add 5 made-in-the-usa parts to keep your rifle legal.

simply remove the necessary material fom both sides of the receiver floor equally and keep trial fitting the magazine as you go.

a set of files can accomplish this job as can a dremel tool.

Thanks for the help but can you improvise a bit more ?

Any pictures or guides on how to do this sucessfully? Remember im completely ignorant to the AK47.

Campy... will you also need a new bullet guide? I've heard people say you need to add one of those too.

Someone needs to make a sticky on this topic. This question is getting asked as much as the folding stock questions.

haha I plan on doing this I just need to know exactly what to do. I need to file away at each side where thr magazine fits until the double stack fits right, correct?

Also, whats a bullet guide that they speak of?
