How much should I pay for a full case (1000rds) of Silver Bear 7.62x39 HP? Back in March I chatted with a guy selling at a gunshow. He said he will sell it to me at the next one in Berea this weekend. He’s asking $750 What should I offer? |

It seems current market price for steel case is in the mid $.50s per round and you can get new manufacture brass case non corrosive for roughly another .10c per round. It all depends on what you are willing to pay for it. I personally wouldn't give even $.45/round for steel case unless I was completely out. At the $.75/r he's asking, you're better off getting new brass cased for less money and you then can save the brass for future usage if you so desire. Silver Bear is ok stuff, but it's not highly collectable/sought after such as the Norinco stuff from years past. Although who knows in another 10 years it might be.... |
