[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Side folder question

I'm thinking of picking up a side folder probably a vector stamped. I've never seen one close enough to look at the stock/reciever mount, so my question is, how hard would it be to change the wire stock to a ACE or Tapco folder? Would it be a simple swap, or is it more complicated than that.

Tapco should go right on, but I don't think is at all superior to the wire type. Ace will require some mods...check out Ace's website...maybe it'll give you an idea of what's involved.

The Ace won't require any mods if you buy the universal block which goes onto the tang...IIRC but if you get an internal block you will have to cut the tang.

The ACE is easy to install and top quality stuff.
