I have a Norinco SKS and am looking for a scope to replace the reciever cover but i heard they lose their zero easily. is this true?

Don't waste your money. Put the scope on a gun closer to 1MOA.

For an SKS probably the best sighting enhancement is the Tech Sights TS200. I have one on one SKS and I was pleasantly surprised at how much of an improvement I experienced with an aperture sight.

I have a Williams on mine. You don't have to remove it to clean the gun. Either one is an improvement over the factory.

I just replaced my front sight pin on my 1970 YUGO with a Tech-sight  pin its about half the width of the original front sight using my own hand loads  and the new pin this is what my results were.

The top cover mounts will do an adequate job provided you are willing to countersink the receiver for the four screws that tighten against it.  Otherwise you will be rezeroing the mount each time you reinstall the top cover.
