Just a brief question on value.  I normally deal with AR's however I have found my self owning a pre-ban norinco with folding stock, bayo, all the goodies, rechambered in .223 .  it belonged to my father so I am not really interested in selling it, just curious on its value.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rechambered? Is this a conversion of sorts? Um, I bet it would be at least $800, possibly $1200 depending on where you live. I've seen underfolder Norinco 84s go for $1300 slightly used, 98% condition.

sounds like you have a norinco, model  type 84s1.

you may find a factory code "66" (stamped in a triangle) on it.

in excellent condition, with accessories and paperwork it is worth no less than $900. add $100 if the original box and packaging materials are with the rifle.

these sell for $750 "on the cheap" to $1250 or so.
