The only information I can find on my sks is the following:

"CJA"

"The third importer, CJA (Southfield, MI) imported Chinese rifles for a short time just prior to September 13, 1994.  The stamping CJA SLFD MICH appears on some Norinco rifles and the marking IDE USA SLFD MICH appears on some Polytech Industries receivers.  CJA imported the best looking Chinese M14 rifles into the United States.  Representatives from CJA traveled to State Arsenal 356 in China to discuss the assembly process of the M14 type rifles it wished to import.  These rifles were assembled with walnut stocks and new production parts with a very good finish."

What can you guys tell me about these rifles?  According to the above, mine would be a Norinco.  In comparison to other SKS's, are they good?  Also, it came with a blade bayonet which I have lost, does anyone know where I can pick another up?

Thanks in advance!

While all makes of sks's have their pluses and minuses the Chinese is a quality shooter no doubt about it.

When it comes to comparing it to other sks's out there the Chinese is on the lower end in regards to reliability.

My  old Norinco Chinese Sks has been one of my rifles for years, bore and chamber still looks brand new, been fired thousand of rounds, nary a glitch or failure, hits where its aimed, too.  BUT.....

I wouldn't trade my Bushie M4 for a truckload of SKS's
