Are there any sources for barrels that fit the Maadi trunion? I am not familiar with what fits and what doesn't with the Maadi.

Any AKM barrel should fit the Maadi trunnion.

Some people build with Romanian Chrome-lined barrels, some with US-made. It all depends on how you want to get to the parts count you need.
