1st off, no, I dont reload. I have a heap of various corrosive milsurp 8mm who's performance I've been observing and recording through some fine scoped Mausers. Mid 50's Yugo is fantastic as is the Nazi Patronen. Turk and Bulgy are crap. M75 is so so. Rommy - blech. Got some 1940s Greek PCH I have yet to try as well as HXP ( I believe is NC) There are others but I don't care to run corrosive out of my semi autos anymore PERIOD. Please don't lecture me about being lazy, garden hoses or throwing my rifles in the flatbed of a pick up and driving through a carwash. Plenty of patronizing threads out there for reference. I've got an M49 and M76 (I just supressed) that I'd like to focus on wi new "commercial" ammo. I've got a batch of PPU Match that is unspectacular, although surprisingly tightened up a bit via the supressed M76. I had a batch of PPU Blue Box soft point I ran through the Mausers (but not the semi autos). Without going much over the $1/rd threshold all I find on Ammoseek are S&B (I've never tried) and few variants of PPU/PRVI (is there a difference between the two?) S&B 54r does very well through a specific couple of my PU Snipers. Any feedback on their 8mm thru an M76? Mine 1996 kit-build has an original un-chromed Serb barrel. Outside of those two (or three) it's approaching the $2/rd Norma/Hornady/Federal, etc, world. So is that it? PPU/PRVI or S&B ? How do they do for you? Which variants? |

I can't remember the last time I shot my M76. Kinda embarrassing really, considering how much I used to shoot it. I remember the old M76 threads in this forum, swapping ammo info and trying to find those magic factory loads for it. How long ago was that? 2015-ish? I still have a bunch of Prvi match stashed away for my M76, glad I bought it when I did. Really need to dig the M76 out of hibernation and get back on it. |

Gosh "back in the day" you were one THE M76 "guys" here in the Yugo (Serb) forum here. Things have really died on this platform since back in the day. Albeit an AR-centric form there used to be a lot going on here on the AK side of things. Needs a serious facelift and modernization. Cripes sake, you still need to use a photo hosting site to post pics here. Anyway, preciate your insights. Bust out the M76. It's still a great gun. I recently started bringing mine out again. Finally got a HUXWRX can and had a fellow from another forum make me a custom suppressor hub adapter for the proprietary threads on the FH. Actually tightened up groups a bit but blew brass 30' away. I just had another fellow make me a 5 position gas adjust so I can tame down the action/ejection. Trying out all this weekend.  " /> |

Are you using a custom adjustable gas piston, or something like a KNS? I just got a KNS for my PSL, but this is really making me want to take out the M77. I'd like to do something adjustable on the M77 to run a can, but not sure on good options. |
