How are the thread adaptors offered by companies like AKUSA for the various muzzle brakes and compensators installed? Anyone have a rundown on the differences in thread issues?

i weld the thread adapters onto the front sight base and then weld the brake to the thread adapter.

it is important to order your thread adapter with a hole that is correctly sized to be a tight fit onto your muzzle.

if using a romanian ak-74 brake, the threads are 22mm x 1.5mm.

if using a russian or bulgarian brake, the threads are 24mm x 1.5mm.

where is a good place to get the compensator and adapters? I know I saw the adapters someplace, I just can't remember where.

AK-USA and Kreb's both have the adapters and compensators. Here are the addresses if the links don't work.

Can these adaptors be installed to a Ace Ltd Frontsight gas block?

On welding of the adapter does it only need to be spot welded or does the weld need to go all the way around, and is it the same for the compensator.
