Just picked up this Petronov Arms Polish AK 47 from my FFL. I'm very pleased with it. The fit and finish are superb. The action is very smooth. The wood furniture reconditioning is excellent. The pictures do not do the wood justice. I'm glad I snagged it when it came up for sale on Atlantic Firearms. Coming in a nice padded case was a very nice touch. A very easy transaction with Atlantic. I used their layaway plan, which was also very easy.
They even put an extra/another pistol grip in it that looks brand new, the one that came on the rifle was a bit scuffed up! I will have to take the butt plate off to shave a bit more wood out of the stock so the "trap door" will close all the way. No biggie.

LOL. When I 1st saw this I thought you had a deliciously bacon wrapped center support. I was so jealous. Then I realized the angle. Then I was sad. Bacon AK goodness is where it's at. BTW, can't wait to see this when you've done the conversion. |

My brother and his friend shooting my new 74. DDI built on a Bulgy kit. It shoots lasers and ran flawlessly. I also got a 100lb soaking wet Colombian girl to shoot it. It was her first time shooting and after some time with .22's she wanted to try out the 74. Within 2 shots she was hitting steel at about 100-120 yards.   |
