It is confirmed these are the compliance parts as the AES-10B was transferred to me: 1. Gas Piston 2. Pistol Grip 3. Disconnector 4. Trigger 5. Hammer What I have changed: 1. Removed welded muzzle nut and replaced with five slot Romanian (I think) made muzzle brake. 2. Replaced US Pistol grip with real Romanian grip 3. Replaced Buttstock with Romanian side folding stock Knowing the list contained in 922 (r) is as follows: (1) Frames, receivers, receiver castings, forgings or stampings (2) Barrels (3) Barrel extensions (4) Mounting blocks (trunions) (5) Muzzle attachments (6) Bolts (7) Bolt carriers (8) Operating rods (9) Gas pistons (10) Trigger housings (11) Triggers (12) Hammers (13) Sears (14) Disconnectors (15) Buttstocks (16) Pistol grips (17) Forearms, handguards (18) Magazine bodies (19) Followers (20) Floorplates Items highlighted in RED indicate to my knowledge what is imported and GREEN what is made in the US. Items in black are those which, to my knowledge do not exist in my AES-10B/RPKS. How correct am I? I think with this configuration the rifle is legal WITHOUT an imported magazine inserted, is this true? I believe by using US made followers and floor plates in the magazines used with this RPKS I will have the required limit of 10 or less non-us parts. What are your thoughts? Hey! Do I know you??? The trigger group is US made. My parts are marked with a "c" in a circle and the piston is a Tapco. Anyway, try another $280+ for the extras I've got into this baby... and a lot of patience when searching and waiting for parts like these to become available in equipment exchanges. Allow me to hijack my own topic and share what I did to fix the carry handle retainer. A little welding, a lot of drummel and a bit of cold blue. Everthing turned out well. I was really worried since the guy welding got the stuff all over. The weld fixed the broken weld from CAI and then closed the loop. The weight of the handle actually opened the ID of the loop while firing and the handle fell off. Sorry no after blueing pics but I will do a nice long post here in the future.
