 Reactive Shooting Science with Ron Avery - Sights Aligned by Feel Ron uses some big words here like "proprioception" - The ability to sense the position and location and orientation and movement of the body and its parts, and "Kinaesthetics" - the study of body motion, and of the perception of one's own body motions. What he is saying is even more critical with pistol optics than iron sights. Funny part is that it is nothing different than the "feel" developed through point shooting. My experience is that developing proprioception is easiest through point shooting. Ron only advocated point shooting at very close ranges(0-3 yards... perhaps a bit further) |
