Randomly messing around on the interwebs the other day I came across the Mantis Blackbeard reset system. If you haven't seen this, it's a module that replaces the charging handle and bolt/carrier with a laser and system to reset your rifle's trigger at each pull. It looks pretty damn cool, to be completely honest, and I like the idea of being able to do dry fire at close range in my house through the winter without having to jack the charger time after time. It changes the trigger pull a bit. Seems to help with certain dryfire drills (i.e. multiple targets). It can be a timesaver as you don't have to rack the action each time. Overall while I love the MantisX and Blackbeard is a valuable training tool, for me airsoft or .22LR AR rifles are better training. A CMMG 22 conversion is cheaper than the Blackbeard. |
