I have a gong style IPSC 66% or a 2 hole. Is it safe for me to make my own stand and put it as a static target? If so what angle should it be at?

[Last Edit: die-tryin] [#1]
I run mine about 45*, i just take a piece of wood, make a wedge and put it between target and wood stand, i use ipsc 1/4 size targets with a hole on bottom and use grade 8 bolt, tighten target to back board with wedge in between. Works great, from any distance you cant see the aggressive angle at all

For my hanging steel, i just super long bolt and pile up nuts/spacers on back side to force the angle, its not 45* but probable 20-30*, enuff to keep rounds from coming back
