What is the double barrel shotgun of choice these days for CAS?
I know there is Stoeger and the Russian Baikal. I've heard the Russian model can be pretty rough. Any being made with exposed hammers? What has to be done to them for competition? THANKS IN ADVANCE! |

around here alot of people still use Stoegers, with prefrences for Single trigger models. But they realize that its going to breakdown after a couple years.
There has been a big push of Baikals though, especially once they're tuned by by say Johnny Meadows, and the parts support is far better. Me I'm using a '97 and a Browning... |

| I used a Steven's 5200, chopped to 22" by the previous owner, that I bought for $ 120 worked great. Switched to a full choke 30" tubed original model 1887 from 1895 that I found at a.local auction for under $750. 2.5 inch shells, 4 in the magazine 1 on the elevator and 1 down the tube for 6 as fast as I can work the lever. |
