New member here, wanted to explain a little bit about our Outdoor Range facilities and Training Company. Please ask any questions you might think of, we'll try to answer quickly.

We started our training company back in 2008 with a main focus on Permit to Carry Classes for MN. Our previous instruction was terrible, unsafe and lacking information. MN had just gone through some law changes in 2005 that made a huge difference to our carry permit. As students we were very frustrated with the lack of information available and lack of instructor availability through the whole duration of our permit (5 years). So we set out to make a very detailed class, with tons of information that every practical carry person needs and also allow our students to stay in touch with us anytime if they had questions.

From the beginner we ensured our students always had access to our instructors, as well as an indoor place to practice during the winter months. We started offering what we coined "Student Shoot Nights" for our students exclusively. These classes were designed to give a few hours of realistic practice AND give out any law changes that have happened. This allows our students to stay updated, talk to us almost every month face to face, and get realistic practice during these cold Minnesota winters. No other instructors around do this sort of class because it really isn't financially viable. We charge $25 per student for these events and supply 3 instructors, all targets and many other items included in that flat fee.

Really when you break it down, we started our company to get what we expected as a student. We're constantly evolving and working hard to improve, and we've really added a lot of value along the way.

After almost 2 years of hard work we have everything setup at the Outdoor Facility, a full class schedule for most any weapons platform and a new kickass video to really show it all off.

We're trying to change what our students expect in a training facility. Our slogan is Training Facility. Redefined. and what that means: you get all the training time your certificate says, no shortcuts. you don't have to help setup or tear down, we have staff for that. meals are provided on-site so you don't have to go to town and get lost, losing valuable training time. and if we happen to get a student that just can't keep up with the class, we can always bring them to another range with one of our staff and give them the instruction they need without holding up the rest of the class. Lastly, we have machinery on hand to move anything from junk vehicles we shoot in and around, to changing our berm profiles for a specific class. We're really trying to change what you expect in a training facility.
