I'm looking for a good book that covers 10-15 man group tactics for a variety of different things, attack, recon, etc.

Diagrams are a must. If there are exercises that would be cool too, but that might be a big ask.

Thanks.

Either ATP 3-21.8 or the earlier FM 3-21.8 Infantry Platoon & Squad and older copies of FM 21-75 Combat Training of the Individual Soldier & Patrolling.

And the Ranger Handbook.

Google.

Thanks. I have the Marine one, but it's honestly pretty simple and sparse. I'll check out the others.

Tactical Manual: Small Unit Tactics https://www.amazon.com/dp/1536876003/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_1ERQ46MY0BW5N0R1D0YB

Sorry - amazon and no hot link.  Cut and paste I suppose.  He ("max velocity") was sold out on his main website, but that book is probably what you're looking for.  May wanna look at John Mosby's stuff on lulu too.  Ranger handbook, etc.

Very approachable, and concerns itself with basic elements like battle drills, rather than troop leading procedures or mission planning.  Nor does it assume the reader (and the folks working with him) are professional soldiers.

ODA 564 listed good manuals but the problem with army manuals is they’re written by the army.

https://www.amazon.com/Army-Small-Unit-Tactics-Handbook/dp/0989551342

This takes what’s useful from 3-21.8 and the ranger handbook and puts it where you can actually understand it. It’s easier for a young soldier or someone interested in military related topics to understand.
