| Title says what I'm looking for, preferably lower round count like 50-100. Ive been buying 200 round boxes every pay so I want to try and get to where I can replace what I shoot every pay. |

Pardon the shameless plug, but that's exactly what we're teaching at Appleseed Pistol Clinics. We're still working on getting our instructors trained so we can have more events, but there are clinics on the calendar for Gainesville and Temple. Appleseed Pistol Clinic schedule |

Try using negative targets. Use a pocket knife or box cutter to cut odd shapes like circles, triangles, squares, an uppercase "D", etc. into a cardboard backed about the size of a silver dollar coin and then focus on shooting through them. Start at 3 yards and as you progress over time, move back to 5, then 7 and then 10 yards. The "holes" don't need to be perfect representations of the aforementioned geometric shapes. In fact the more irregular the better. |

NRA Basic Pistol Target is what the NRA starts with. Move it out to 15 or 20 feet for Levels 2 or 3. |

Go to the range and shoot one of these each time. After you have done them all, go back to the ones that sucked the most and get better https://docs.google.com/document/u/1/d/1HMcsHztX9f_tszkZ8pKJIbXoWYQLa8LnfJF_jB7jqUc/mobilebasic |

Dot drills work great. Buy some of those 2" red/orange or black dots and put a bunch of them on a large piece of cardboard. Begin at 2-3 yards with your pistol at low ready, either on a start signal or whenever you wish, come up and fire one shot. Then try two shots on one dot. Try the same thing from your holster. Then try draw, and fire one shot on each of three dots. When your accuracy is what you are happy with at 2-3 yards, begin moving to the rear one large step. You can vary this by adding movement: Draw, take two steps to the right, and fire one shot on two different dots.. For the next iteration, do two steps to the left, or two steps in one direction and kneel behind something to represent cover. There are infinite variations on this very simple exercise. If you want to save some money, cut squares out of some kind of duct tape, and put the squares onto the backer. Don't get all fussy about speed..it is an accuracy drill. When your accuracy meets with your desires, move back again, try going a little faster, but above all don't shoot any faster than you can hit your target because your stated goal is accuracy. |
