| I am not sure if this is where I should post this, but I am wondering where everyone is finding 9mm ammo. I need some more for training and do not want to dip in my reserves. I can't find any locally, and my local places suck Haha. I am also looking for .223. Thanks all! |

lol I cleared out the last of my local Scheel’s brass case 9mm at $260/k about a week ago, but I don’t expect to see much anywhere near that price for the foreseeable future. Good luck. ETA: Even their steel case .223 was over .50/round. Fuck all that. |

It is tough to find 9mm. When you do it's $.50 a round. Can't get primers to roll your own either. Here is my thinking having burned through 1000 rounds of 556 and 500 rounds of 9 mm recently in training classes. I am starting to think that at a certain point you are just throwing away a valuable resource. So.... I have been spending more time shooting 22LR. My 22LR AR is set up to be pretty identical to my regular carbine. I have also been shooting my Ruger Mk IV 22/45 a bit more. And, I have also been using an airsoft Glock 19 for initial shot on target from holster kind of things. Yeah it's a little but goofy, but with ammo the way it is, I am being very cautious about burning it up unnecessarily. |
| Thanks for all the responses! I appreciate it. Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you all, I had a family member in the hospital and have been dealing with that. I was able to find a little bit of 9mm. And the suggestion on the .22 is a great one! Hopefully things go back to normal. |
