Posted in the Armory/Reloading in my 6br thread, but thought I would share here. Sounds like Savage discontinued the dual port 6BR Norma rifles. I have about 200 rounds on mine, and shot my first ever 1,000y benchrest match last weekend. These were the results. As mentioned, rifle is a factory Savage Model 12 dual port. Shooting lapua brass, cci450, varget and Berger 105 hybrids. 2850fps. Day 1: 4 - 5 shot targets. Score average 44.25/50. Group average 7.715" Day 2: 4 - 5 shot targets. Score average 37.25 /50. Group average 8.476" Day 3: 2 - 5 shot targets. Score average 47.5/50. Group average 8.641" Total score average over 10 targets: 43/50. | That's pretty good shooting and pretty awesome you can do it with an inexpensive rifle. Those Target actions were a bit of a hidden gem. I don't think any of the configurations sold well because they were "expensive" for a Savage. The fact that you could get a dual port is pretty awesome. The few people I knew with them were always happy at how they shot. |

Plan to work on refining my reloading, rifle, etc, this winter when I have more free time. |
