I own several $5k+ Sachtler tripods. If I'm going for low cost/lightweight, I only purchase/trust Manfrotto, SmallRig or Ulanzi. SmallRig is the most robust of the Chinese tripods IME.

I am enjoying the Lefoto 364C with the 2V 65MM head. Not the lightest but very nice. I'd stay away from the extendable centerpost and keep with the 3 legs up to the head. The centerpost ones are not as stable.
