I’ve had these for a while, but just found this thread. In the if with two rifles in a tripod they’re both Impact NBKs in a Manners Night Stalker. Moved the black Night Stalker over to my boys RimX though. The shorty is a 16.5” 6 Creed that’s my go to night killing stick. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I'd say 16.5" barrel on a .22LR 700 footprint on an AX w 13" forend an 18" B14R stuck out about an inch and a half to the barrel shoulder. |

This is a picture of my 40X Elrod repeater. The barrel is just over 16.5 inches from breech to crown. This makes the 3/4x24 threaded Thunderbeast compact brake and end of suppressor comes to 0.310 of the tube. The barrel is a MTU contour Shilen ratchet that really liked this lot of Eley Edge. Those are 200 yard targets. The second target has a wide right hit at 2:00 that was almost a miss. That was all me missing a slight wind change.

I almost bought one during a EuroOptic sale and didn't because I listened to C_DOES review on it a while back. He also reviewed the Athlon BTR 2-12 and gave it smoking reviews, so I bought it instead. Glass is pretty shitty and it weighs a metric fuck ton. Now I am wondering if I should reconsider the NF 2-22 like you have. He said the reticle wasn't very useful at high power but I bet the glass is much better than the Athlon. |

My XM-3’ish build. I was ahead of the curve with this rifle. I bought the rifle from a co-worker in 2005’ish, it was a Coyote model with speckled stock and 26” barrel. Had it trued, stock duracoated OD, and cut to 20” and an AE30 suppressor. I just recently added the Leupold scope. When the XM-3 was made public, I thought “hey, that looks like my rifle!” Attached File Attached File |

Otherwise I would have waited for a Magnus to be in stock. |

Can I post on the precision rifle thread if I haven’t shot it yet? Not trying to be a clone build at all, more inspired by and had the barreled action and stock laying around and it seemed right. MK13 Surplus AICs stock and mags from Thoroughbred armament and a stock Remington 700P in 300WM. For now just a cheap 10x SS scope that’s been rock solid. Hope it’s a shooter. Planning 155 Scenars.  |

Finished up on the MRAD in 300PRC. Installed the SR muzzle brake a couple days ago and re-zero'd with the Magnus suppressor today. There is a lot of mirage. I have a suppressor cover coming in the mail, hopefully it helps.

  Was fortunately able to acquire recently a trade in from Idaho State Swat :) plus even better am in process of installing the exact same," new in package unfired", suppressor set up they were using I have found by some miracle. The set up; Armalite AR30 338LM Surefire MB338SS04 Muzzle Break, Thread specific to the Armalite AR30 338LM, 5/8-18 Surefire FA338SS Fast-Attach Weapon Sound Suppressor. This rifle road around mostly in their tactical response unit and spent a few times at the range for their range qualification. It is an absolute tac driver! And I am looking forward to traveling north to a longer range to push it out as far as I can :) Have been in contact with Surefire directly to get the exact mounting solution specific to this rifle since the Factory muzzle device is timed and tightened into place with backing nut so making sure since there really isn't a shoulder for shims to stack on if I just use the nut or if must use the shim set in conjunction to the nut . the mounting solution guide for surefire covers just about every other verity of muzzle device but not this one, so waiting on their guidance to be safe. The two optic variants that I am using on this beast are as follows; ENVEC Raptor 644 Gen 3 NVS, chose this over the 646 model due to the ability to engage near and mid- range as well as long range . though I do prefer the mil. dot reticle of the 6x the 4x + reticle has proven to be quite sufficient at 400yards and above. Everything around me is behind or over the hill after 300ish yards. For my main optic I am running a MEOPTA ZD 6-24x56 RD with Mil dot 2 reticle attached to Spuhr SP3601 20MOA -1.181". I had thought of going to the 1.5" but found the railing to be substantially high enough above barrel to accommodate for the 56mm clearance needed for my optic choice and still be able to take advantage of the greater distance calculations of another 20 MOA to play with. Anyway , enjoy the photos, more to come once get it all together and dope solutions for longer range :) |
