Just a heads up for anyone who was curious. I recently purchased a the 7mm PRC Sig Cross Sawtooth. I do not like the short handguard that comes on it. The longer handguards for the standard Cross will not fit the Magnums and Sig will not sell the Magnum handguard. I just called Sig and spoke to CS. The guy was nice, but unfortunately could not help me get a longer handguard for the rifle. Strikes me as odd they put such a short hand guard on this and even odder that they won't sell me a longer one. Hope that helps anyone wondering. |

The #1 thing to expect from Sig is them not having the parts you want for your rifle. |

ARCA sucks to hold onto so they put it in the back where people are most likely to support it with a tripod. Smart move, makes it mildly more appealing to me. |

I suspect the intent of the Sawtooth is to make it as light as possible, because hunting in the Sawtooths is humbling. It's probably not that they won't sell the other handguards forever, but that they have a higher profit margin to put them on complete guns instead of selling them individually. If production or inventory bottlenecks make supply low, you put them where they make the most money. |

I would be happy to trade my .300 Win Mag Sig Cross Handguard for the shorter one from the Magnum Sawtooth.
