I have developed a problem shooting small groups.

Honestly 25 years ago i could shoot tiny groups like the one holer that i had going in the second picture. Before i yanked the 4 th shot.

Both groups fired from same gun /ammo. 20 min apart.

I have it in my head its recoil management and position regardless.

Im looking for how to get it fixed.

Any suggestions welcome.

No idea. I'd heard that ARs "pull" some shots but I think that's urban rumor (ie, the third shot because of the 3 round burst trigger,  even when fired in semi auto).

When I started trying to improve my groups with AR’s I discovered it is extremely important to maintain form through the string. As my form improved so did my groups. The recoil of an AR is minimal. What you do during and after the recoil is where your groups go sideways. So maintain form, focus on the sight picture and the aim point and don’t let your body position change. Make sure you follow through with your trigger pull and wait for the reset. If you are squared up behind the rifle recoiled is absorbed by you body. Focus on the rest of your form and shoot a lot with quality ammo.

Good luck.

Move the front rest forward as far as you can, it will lessen the affects of wobble on the bullet...make sure you are neutral in position, any muscle used to move the sights on target will screw with accuracy...So get all lined up and close your eyes, when you open them is the sights still locked on target or are they off?  Change position until your body is neutral and the sights do not move when you close and open your eyes.....
