I'm really starting to love this rifle as a lightweight, accurate, Compact, capable rifle. I currently have an Athlon Helos BTR 2-12 on it but after printing multiple sub moa groups with 147 ELDM over RL16 I need to upgrade this setup with some nice glass. I've narrowed my options to 3 that fit my criteria for weight (under 29 oz), length, minimum magnification (3.5ish or less), max magnification (18 or more), FFP, and reticle (tree that is usable at minimum with illumination). Which would you choose for this purpose for 85% target shooting out to 1200m and 15% hunting out to reasonable distances? Reply with any other optics I should consider - only looking for Japan/German/US optics for this project. No chinesium (although the Athlon Ares 2.5-15 caught my eye). |

The Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56 in LaRue QD ringmount would be my suggestion , I know it’s probably more scope than you want but you’re so close that I don’t think you would regret it plus it can QD and go to a heavier rifle if you ever choose to step up to 338 Lapua or 300 WM etc Also look at Zeiss they added tactical scopes in the last few years where they used to do all tactical branded as Heinsoldt, some did get imported then they stopped. March scopes are good glass. Tangent Theta are supposed to be the best. |

Nxs 2.5-20 is hard to beat. It does everything near perfect except if you like a big, eye filling picture. Others do that better, but it's all a balancing act when it comes to optical performance. Take a look too at the March 3-24. And keep an eye on GPO, supposedly their 2.5-20 is about to hit with better reticles. Optically they're fantastic. |

Just bolted it up this evening, will get to fire tomorrow. Just walking around the house and yard, it feels amazing. This little scope is something else, it feels and looks super high end ... but was $500. Attached File Attached File |
