I make targets with blue or green aiming points that contrast with the bullet holes. Another strategy that some use is a white sheet behind the target to reflect light through the holes. Nowadays target cameras are affordable, and a better option for viewing the target. |

| I have an older Fujinon spotting scope with 40 and 80 power eyepieces. With the 80 I could see the veins in a fly's wings, but the issue is that depth of field is about an inch. 40 is a good all around power. |

With a decent rifle scope you can see the impacts at 300+ yds, and with a clear spotter over 40x you should be good beyond 550yds. |
