I was quoted 1 month and they had it in my hands in 35 days.

Here is my take on my new rifle. She is a beautiful heavy beast. 6GT has less recoil than 6.5, so I think this gun will be extremely pleasurable to shoot.

The build quality is fantastic. The bolt is very smooth with an easy light lift. It is easy to work without removing your head from the stock. The stock is milled flat to ride bags better. Speaking of stocks, the finish on the Manners stock just feels good. The Trigger Tech trigger is light and crisp. I can see the differences between this custom gun and my factory guns. The quality is not even close. I think you get a lot for $2999…lol

As far as extras,  I paid the $150 for bedding which took the 3/4 guarantee to a 3/8” guarantee. I also paid $50 extra to cerakote the barrel to match the action.

I mounted up my SWFA HD 5-20 on a set of Seekins Precision low rings and started load development for it.

I was able to get out to the range today while the temperature is still in the 70’s. Temps are dropping tonight into the 20’s which is too damn cold for Florida…lol.

Anyway….I loaded up 30 rds of 108gr Hornady ELDM’s, using new Hornady brass, CCI 450 primers and Varget powder. Charge weights were 30gr to 34grs. I also shot with my Polonium 30 suppressor using a SWFA 5-20 HD optic which acquitted itself quite well.

33.3gr and 34gr gave the best accuracy. Velocity with the 33.3gr load was 2860fps and 2920fps with the 34gr load. I’m going to load more of those two and go from there.

Winds were gusting to 15mph, so I will blame that on the flyers  :D.

Recoil was nothing. I see this becoming my most used gun.

This bug likes the gun as well.

What barrel options did they offer you? I know it comes in 6GT but I was curious what other calibers they offer and $.

Down payment was $1k?

They did not offer any barrel options. I see prefits in 308 for almost 1k.

Yep… 1k down. They are sold out already.

My custom 6.5 Creedmoor they built is tied with one other custom rifle for most accurate. Cold bore shift? Never. Consistent accuracy? Always. Easy to shoot? Yes.

I really want one of these!

That is a very nice execution of a precision rifle. What barrel profile is that? Excuse the ignorance, I've always been a Service Rifle shooter and am just dipping my cheap toes into a very expensive category of an already expensive hobby! Just this weekend I scored a Remington 700 Milspec 5R in 308 with a NF 4-20 SHV scope for $1,800. I thought the price good and it is/was NIB old stock. But my want it over-rode my common sense and I see now that is an average price. Still. I am happy. I had a MagPul Enhanced in 6.5CM that I shot once and sold to a co-worker that had the 5R barrel and a few of my favorite AR's have the S&W 1:8 5R barrel so I am believer in that type of rifling even if others aren't.

Now, that is alot of money in today's economy and I think it is a lot of rifle for the money, but it ain't even in the same ballgame as yours. I hope to shoot well enough to justify owning a GAP one day. I was fortunate to have some trigger time behind the original M40A1 they had in the USMC (I was not a sniper but I worked in my B Billet as coach and MCBH shooting team NCOIC) whenver the highspeed guys would come to our range for shooting lessons, lol. I was Range High at K-Bay for my entire time there and my name and score my of 57 (this was the first year of the new scoring system we had in the mid-90s) stayed on the board there awhile after I left, or so I was told. The range was right off the beach you either and learned how to Hawaii read wind during range week or you Unq'd. I got lucky. Shot way above my normal level and got on the team and that is where I really learned to shoot. But I've never shot much less hit anything past 600 yards, so this new long range venture oughta be interesting.

Again, congrats on a beautiful rifle. I love it.
