Well, I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a new CZ457MTR and after coming back from the range this morning, I'm very happy with it. I had been picking up components the last few weeks... Picked up a DNT "The One" scope a 15 MOA Area 419 Pic rail Small 34 MM rings Pete's Pillars Bolt handle and trigger spring. I stripped it down last night, torqued everything, Punched the bore and adjusted the trigger once I replaced it with the Spring. got it to a perfect. Crisp 8 oz.  got a 50 yd zero and started shooting for groups Vertical was perfect and repeatability was excellent. This scope is really quite good and the glass clarity is amazing for the price point. The low rings have the scope sitting just where I like it and I don't need to use a check riser.  Overall I'm very pleased with this rifle and will start putting rds thru it and see how the barrel settles in. |
