Shooters - Long range tactical matches are alive and well in Missouri, and it is time to step up our game to pit our skills against each other in a friendly and fast-paced competition series. In 2015 we will host twelve competitions at two different ranges. The scores for each match will be posted online, and each competitor's average score will be computed on a continuing basis. The top ranked shooters at the end of the year will qualify for fabulous prizes....honor, glory, and jelly doughnuts. For 2016 we plan to engage a corporate sponsor for more mundane prizes like equipment and cash. Prospective dates are: January 10th or 17th, and Mar 14th or 21st. Five to seven days advance notice will be given. A minimum of eight shooters is required for a match to qualify for the series. A few RULES:
All shooters will compete in the same category....'run what you brung'. You must compete in at least four matches to qualify for final standings and prizes. You must participate in at least one match at each of the two ranges. If you participate in 6 matches, you get to throw out your worst score. SCORING: Scoring for an individual match will be at the discretion of the match director. The top shooter's 'MOST' score for that match will be 100. Other shooters will be awarded their percentage of the leader's score. For example, if the leader scored 500 points, he is awarded 100 MOST points as his match total. If you shoot 400 in the same match, you would be awarded 80 MOST points as your match total (400 is 80% of 500 = 80 points). You will be awarded one bonus point for the fifth and any subsequent matches you participate in, to encourage maximum participation. Here is an example of the MOST standings spreadsheet: 
The guys highlighted in green have competed in at least four matches (required to qualify for prizes and final standings). Competitors are shown in numerical rank order. This is the only time you will see Sean Hagerty at the top of any scoreboard. DOPE Days: Two DOPE Days will be held at Rolling Hills (Camdenton, MO) to allow new shooters to develop good DOPE charts for subsequent competitions: April 11th 9AM-3PM June 6th 9AM-3PM |

FORMAT: The courses of fire posted below have been refined over the past two years. Individual matches may be modified at the Match Director's discretion. Bring at least 60 rounds to every match. These are arguably some of the best training matches in the country....an average of eight stages per match, each testing a different skill or stressor...with instant feedback....and the ability to move 30 shooters through a 50+ round match in less than 4 hours to get you home in a reasonable amount of time. PRS-level shooters are fully challenged to best each other in both timing and accuracy. New guys get plenty of hits and a chance to measure their progress as they gain experience.
