Thanks, I had a Leupy MR/T on it, but traded an East Coast SEAL Sniper buddy a USO 3.2-17x SN3 for the SN4 w/ Doubler, Crane Stock, KAC sight and 4 NIW HK M16 mags. He used the SN4 for his last deployment in the Baghdad area on his SPR and wanted an SN3 for his upcoming deployment to Trashcanistan, where he expects to see longer distances. The one thing that I learned (or maybe finally realized) when building this project was that when it comes to SPR's, there really is no "correct" way to set it up. Granted, I suppose they come from Crane set up a certain way, but as soon as they get to the end user it's likely to be changed out a lot with the only things really staying "correct" being the FF RAS, the barrel and upper and lower. Grips, stocks, sights, scopes, etc are most likely going to be swapped out for things the Operater prefers. |

Actually I calculated the combination to be the same height as the Larue SPR mounts (1.5") since that what I have on the 223 upper I have for this same rifle. I wanted them to be the same and I think I'm either just a time bit higher or lower (I don't remember) something like either 1.52" or 1.48", but it's very close. |

what coating/color is that. looks kinda like duracoat od but a little more brown, could just be the lighting. looks good, im partial to od myself. |

It's Olive Drab DuraCoat. I think the lighting might give it the tinge of brown, because it's definetely OD when you actually see it.... |
i have 2.5 weapons that i did with duracoat od. my next one im thinking duracoat grey. then i can add tan, od, and med brown with krylon to camo it. if i want, i can strip off the krylon and add white, tan, and od for a winter camo. i think the grey would be a better base than fde, just for the possibility of using winter colors though. just an idea. |

The winter camo sounds like a good combo-I plan on doing the same with this in that I can add Krylon to camo it and strip it off as needed, still leaving a the basecoat of OD Duracoat. |

Salmonaxe- The rifle shoots like a dream! While you are not going to get 1/2 MOA like on some of the AR platforms this one will hold a solid 1 1/2 MOA. Man size targets out to 700 are easy hits and quick useing a hold-over. The range I shoot at has steel every 100 yards from 200-700.. It is a lot of fun to twack them plates as fast as you can!! Twack, twack, twack, twack, +16  BTW-Everyone has some sweet rigs... Just think of the damage we could do if we ever all got togeather in a time of need!!! There wouldn't be a liveing thing inside of 600 yards!! |

Thanks. The barrel is a Schneider 18" massaged and installed by GA Precision. The Night Force scope I chose utilizes the NP-R2 reticle. I too really like that cqb reticle. If it was the 1-4x I would have definately gone for that one, but since it's the 2.5-10 I chose a more precision reticle for the longer distance shots. I'm glad I did to. |
